Hey there! You’re probably thinking if you need that workshop at all or not
That event is cool for you if:
- you have a camera, whatever camera it is (even film one)
- you call yourself a photographer
- you’ve never worked in the studio and that’s an oportunity to break the ice
- you worked at the studios, but only with flashlights
- you’re a professional in working with flash or continuous lights but only in white casual key+fill+back light schemes
- you’re a professional and want to know other professional’s process from the inside
- you’re a filmmaker/videographer and you want to make more creative lighting
- photography is just your hobby but you’re a curious pal and want to put your hands on some advanced magic
01
Benefits
For you: hands-on knowledge, experience and nice photos
For me: get experience of teaching and I reeeally love explaining things.
For the studio: you’ll see how good it is.
02
More than show-me-how
I won’t be simply showing: I will be asking, making you set the lights, making you think so when you come to the studio you’d think “yeah I did that” and not only “I’ve seen how it’s done” these are two different things. I know not everyone will try everything, but I’ll do my best in 2h we have.

About me
From an early age I was fascinated by art and visualising the world, which led me to photography. Each new project becomes an opportunity for self-expression and experimentation, and I strive to convey the emotion and uniqueness of each moment through my photographs. Today I am proud to share my experience and inspire others on their own journey into the world of photography. and blah blah blah
I’m Lil, I’m a self-taught photographer with physics background. No, physics doesn’t help me on set if you were wondering, but being technical does and I want to teach you how not to be scared to experiment with different types of light equipment. I’m truly enjoying the process and I got a knack for putting nice creative lights together so I heard some would be keen to pick it up from me, and I’m keen to share it as I want creatives to grow and thrive.
Come along let’s warm up our creative muscle!
Questions and answers
Can I post photos from the workshop?
Yes you can! Only tagging me and the studio and I’ll nudge you if I won’t see a mention :) The reason — it won’t be true to post it as your own art as it was created on a learning environment and curated by me. To put something into your portfolio you have to make it yourself from scratch to the end and I’m all encouraging you to learn and do that!
How many people expected?
I don’t know it might be 2 it might be 10. But I’ll make it work in any case
Which lens is better to set?
I say — any. Just put your favourite on. Take them with you to change on set. I always change from 17mm to 80 mm on the go by just a feeling what I want better.
Are you going to explain camera settings?
No, unfortunately not at all. I won’t be touching camera related things assuming that if you hold it you know how to take a photo and that is well-enough for this workshop. I’ll be only teaching lights and how they interact with a model or between each other — that’ll help to understand both basics of light and advanced setup.
